Short explanations, Chapter I

The architecture of eternity

RSI holds that the toroidal shape of the universe was never created but follows from a tensioned fluid taking its most efficient form.

Standard cosmology assumes the universe had an absolute beginning: an expansion from a zero-dimensional singularity, where the laws of physics break down. On this view, both space and its geometry arose spontaneously.

RSI treats the toroidal (doughnut-shaped) geometry of the universe as a mechanical necessity rather than a created artifact. The Eternal Consonance is an uncreated, contiguous, frictionless universal continuum, the eternal baseline of reality. In fluid dynamics, when tension or pressure exists in a contiguous medium, the most efficient way for that energy to stabilize is to curl into a vortex ring.

The theory holds that the 0.73 N baseline tension prevents the medium from remaining a formless ocean. It forces the fluid into a closed toroidal loop that inhales and exhales. RSI proposes this as the only shape that lets an energetic fluid reach perfect, infinite equilibrium without tearing itself apart. The geometry did not begin. It is the inevitable consequence of a fluid under its own tension.
