Black holes as return valves

In RSI a black hole is not a singularity. It is the Still Core of a galactic torus, where matter unzips and returns to the field.

RSI describes the universe as a toroidal engine breathing in and out. At its center is the Still Core, where matter returns to the field. Matter falls inward down the pressure gradient of the inhale. At the core, the holding pressure that keeps knots stable disappears, knots unzip, and their energy is released as light. That light is exhaled outward to seed new knots in the field's outer reaches. What is usually called the Big Bang, RSI calls the Big Break: not a singular event of creation but the turn of the medium's breathing at its trough, about 13.8 billion years ago as atomic clocks count, from which the current phase of an endless cycle has risen.

Black holes repeat this pattern on a galactic scale. In RSI a black hole is not a singularity, and it is not a place where physics fails. It is the deepest pressure shadow the medium can form, the Still Core of a galactic torus. As matter gathers, the medium's tension slackens until, at the event horizon, even light cannot climb out. Deeper inside, the medium can no longer hold knots stable, and matter unzips and dissolves back into pure vibration of the field. Nothing becomes infinite, because the medium cannot bend more sharply than the Planck length.

Active black holes drive relativistic jets, the great streams that leave the poles of active galaxies at nearly the speed of light, launched just outside the horizon.

"The black hole does not destroy. It recycles." It accepts spent matter and returns purified energy to the cosmic circuit. In the narrative's words, what astrophysics calls death is, in the language of the Eternal Consonance, return.
