The four properties of the medium

RSI gives the Eternal Consonance four mechanical properties: no gaps, a stiffness of 0.73 N, a density that fixes the speed of light, and a sharpest possible bend.

c = √(Ξ / μ)

The narrative describes four intrinsic properties of the Eternal Consonance. RSI holds that they are derived from measurement and are consistent with one another.

It has no gaps. The medium is one unbroken elastic substance through every point of space. It cannot be divided, because there are no pieces. At rest it flows with perfect smoothness. RSI gives this as the reason light crosses billions of light-years without losing energy and orbiting planets do not slow down.

It has stiffness. Like a stretched elastic band, the medium resists being deformed and pushes back when twisted. That stiffness is the baseline tension of 0.73 N, derived from the electron.

It has density, and density fixes the speed of light. Every medium has a speed limit for its waves, set by its stiffness and its weight. A tighter guitar string carries waves faster, and a lighter one does too. Applying that same relationship with the speed of light as the wave speed gives the medium's density: about 8.12 × 10⁻¹⁸ kilograms per meter. In RSI, the speed of light is the only speed a wave can travel through a medium this stiff and this light.

It has a sharpest bend. Elastic things have a limit to how tightly they can be bent. RSI identifies the Planck length as that limit for the Eternal Consonance.
