The illusion of the absolute baseline

RSI interprets the zero-point energy of the vacuum as the physical 0.73 N baseline tension of a continuous medium, the Eternal Consonance.

Quantum field theory (QFT), the framework behind particle physics, does not treat the vacuum as empty. It treats it as a ground state filled with zero-point energy. Standard physics regards this energy as an abstract mathematical quantity, which creates a paradox: physical energy fluctuating within a non-physical void.

RSI resolves the paradox by grounding the mathematics in fluid mechanics. It identifies zero-point energy as the literal, mechanical 0.73 N baseline tension of a continuous physical substrate, the Eternal Consonance (EC). The universe, in this view, is a high-tension, resonant medium rather than an empty coordinate system.

The theory holds that QFT goes wrong by summing an infinite number of separate, localized oscillators instead of measuring one unified tension. This treatment of a continuous fluid as a sum of imaginary point-particles produces the vacuum catastrophe. Estimates of vacuum energy exceed the observed cosmological constant by a factor on the order of 10¹²⁰, often called the worst prediction in physics.
