The restoration of the light
RSI presents itself as restoring a mechanical, medium-based physics after a century the paper calls an age of abstraction.
The epilogue describes the last hundred years as a self-imposed Dark Age of intuition. Physicists use quantum mathematics with great skill to build transistors and lasers. Yet, the paper argues, they still cannot say what an electron is or why gravity works.
In RSI's account, discarding the medium forced physics to invent Dark Matter to fix galactic rotation and virtual particles to explain forces across the void. A clear mechanical picture was traded for a series of mathematical fudge factors.
The theory presents itself as more than new equations. It claims to restore the lineage of Maxwell, Kelvin, and Einstein, and the belief that the universe is a coherent, mechanical whole. By reintroducing the medium, RSI moves away from a universe of chance and toward one of Consonance: a resonant, toroidal engine in which every knot of matter and every pulse of light arises from the eternal, vibrating field.
