The universe is one thing

RSI begins with one postulate: space is not nothing. It is a single universal medium, and everything we observe is that medium doing one thing.

Rest-State Inversion is a mechanical theory of the universe. It begins with a single postulate: space is not nothing. It is a substance, an incompressible universal continuum held under immense and perfectly frictionless tension. It is present everywhere and constitutes everything. This substance is the Eternal Consonance.

From that starting point, the familiar features of nature become behaviors of one medium. Matter is what happens when the medium knots. Light is what happens when it ripples. Gravity is what happens when a knot casts a shadow in it. Time is what happens when it vibrates.

RSI holds that the great constants of physics are not separate mysteries. The speed of light, the mass of the electron, the ratio of the proton's mass to the electron's, and the fine structure constant are, in the narrative's phrase, "four windows onto the same room."

The theory also reads the large-scale sky this way. The Cosmic Microwave Background, the ring structures found by Alexia Lopez, the great flow toward the Great Attractor, and the measurements of LIGO all point, in RSI's account, to one continuous medium in toroidal circulation. We are not observers standing outside the universe. We are local expressions of it: temporary, intricate knots in a field with no beginning and no empty places.
