The toroidal boundary
RSI holds that the outward Exhale is a finite phase, ending when the field's tension turns matter back into the Universal Inhale.
RSI treats the Exhale, the outward phase of the toroidal circuit, as finite. The outward motion does not continue forever into an infinite void.
As matter reaches the outer rim of the Eternal Consonance, the medium follows a refractive rollover set by the field's streamlines. Picture the surface of a doughnut: flow that moves outward along the top curves over the edge and returns along the underside. In RSI, the 0.73 N tension acts as an elastic limit at this rim. It captures the matter-knot and turns it onto the return path of the Universal Inhale.
The outward motion of the Exhale and the Bulk Flow toward the Still Core are different segments of the same closed-loop mechanical engine. Neither of them is the cosmological redshift, which in RSI is the comparison of clocks across time described in Chapter VI.
